All of the therapists at OT 4 Kids are registered and licensed Occupational Therapists who have a broad range of experience; which include school, early intervention, outpatient, and hospital settings. They specialize in sensory integration therapy and address fine and gross motor delays.
Christi Harmon, OTR/L, Director of OT 4 Kids, also gives presentations on Sensory Integration and how it
affects behavior and learning. She has presented to schools, parent
groups, and other professionals working with special needs children.
She has also served on the Board of Directors of Developmental Delay
Resources (DDR). Christi is certified to administer the Sensory Integration
and Praxis Tests (SIPT) and the Therapeutic Listening Program. Christi's
areas of expertise include....
Valerie Glass, MS,OTR/L has extensive
experience in the pediatric field, working exclusively with children
with cerebal palsy in the past, as well as other disabilities. She
has experience with oral motor therapy for children with feeding issues,
neurodevelopmental (NDT) treatment approach for motor skill development,
and in sensory integration deep pressure and brushing programs. She
is certified to adminiter the Therapeutic Listening Program.
Christie Dasher, OTR/L has experience
in both the public schools and private pediatric clinic settings.
She also draws on her former experiences as a in-home service provider
where she developed individualized home programs for children and
their families and also implemented behavior plans in the home. Christie's
area of expertise is in Sensory Integration, and she is certified
to administer and interpret the Sensory Integration and Praxis Tests
(SIPT).
Laura Arm, OTR/L also currently works
for the public school system and is up to date on the latest school
practices and special education policies. She has experience working
with children with a variety of disabilities including autism and
developmental delays and with specific treatment strategies such as
Brain Gym and oral motor therapy.
Mary Beth Brooke, OTR/L started her
OT career in the hospital setting, moving up to the lead OT for the
neurology team. She developed educational programs, some of which
are still implemented in the hospital today. Mary Beth now focuses
on pediatrics and has experience in the school systems. She is calibrated
in administering the AMPS (Assessment of Motor and Process Skills)
and the School AMPS.
Nicole Bloxom, OTR/L has worked in the
adult rehab setting, early intervention, and public and private schools.
Her areas of expertise are in Sensory Integration disorders and working
with children with multiple disabilities and cognitive disabilities.
She is also proficient in American Sign Language.
Cathy Daly, OTR/L has worked in the
school system and pediatric hospital settings. She has extensive experience
with pediatric splinting, fine motor development as well as sensory
integration therapy.
Cynthia Webster, MS OTR/L has focused
her Occupational Therapy career in pediatrics. She was formerly a
Registered Dietician and offers a unique perspective to OT, especially
in the role nutrition has with sensory integration.
