Groups

We offer groups no larger than 6 kids with 2 supervising therapists.  The group members benefit from therapeutic support to greet peers, enter a group, and sustain interaction in a social setting. 


Heroes Club- sensory-motor play group

• For developmentally pre-K and K
• Develop classroom motor and social skills
• Learn and use sensory strategies for self-regulation and attention through the Alert Program ("How does your engine run?")

Superheroes Club- sensory-motor play group

• For developmentally 1-2 grades
• Develop classroom motor and social skills
• Learn and use sensory strategies for self-regulation and attention through the Alert Program ("How does your engine run?")

Handwriting

• For rising grades 1-2 
• Review and refine proper formation of capital and lowercase letters and numbers, with proper placement and spacing for words and sentences using Handwriting Without Tears curriculum
  

The Adventurers- executive functioning group

• Impulse control/anger management
• Organization of schoolwork and materials
• Planning and prioritization (student planner, long term projects)
• Collaboration and cooperation with peers to complete a group task

Kids new to the clinic will be assessed for appropriate group placement.  Call to sign up; groups are forming on an ongoing basis.  Groups, other than the ones listed, could form per request or necessity.
